The Population Health Analytics, Metric and Evaluation center at the UIC School of Public Health (SPH) has partnered with public health stakeholders to produce the Cook County Health Atlas, a database of more than 100 indicators of health in Cook County. The searchable database will allow residents, community organizations, researchers and public health stakeholders to easily access, analyze and download neighborhood-level health data from 26 cities and 176 ZIP codes located in suburban Cook County. The project expanded upon the foundation laid by the Chicago Health Atlas, which was launched 10 years ago and is co-managed by SPH. Key partners in developing the Cook County Health Atlas were the Cook County Department of Public Health; data, analytics and visualization software developer Metopio; and The Chicago Community Trust.
