UI Health Honored and Awarded for Quality in Cardiac and Stroke Care, Oncology, Blood Pressure Control and Sustainability

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association has honored UI Health with four quality achievement awards for adherence to clinical measures that can reduce readmissions and mortality rates for cardiac and stroke patients. The awards include the Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Award and the Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. This is the seventh consecutive year UI Health has received the top stroke award and the fifth consecutive year it has achieved the heart failure designation.

The American Medical Association/American Heart Association has honored Mile Square Health Center with a Target: BP Silver Recognition for improving blood pressure control through accurate measurement among adult patients.

In its 2024 ranking of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals, Newsweek has listed University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics among its top 300 hospitals for oncology.

Practice Greenhealth, a membership and networking organization for sustainable health care, has recognized UI Health for its commitment to sustainability with the Greenhealth Emerald and Greening the OR Recognition Awards.
