UI Health Achieves Milestone with Outpatient Robotic Surgeries

Members of the UI Health surgical teams celebrate the 100th outpatient robotic surgery at the Specialty Care Building.
As of March 20, 2023, 100 outpatient robotic surgeries had been performed in UI Health’s new Specialty Care Building (SCB), a mere six months since its opening on September 26, 2022. The advanced surgeries were performed in the Bruno & Sallie Pasquinelli Outpatient Surgery Center, which houses an anesthesia clinic, eight operating rooms equipped with the latest surgical and robotic technologies, six procedure rooms and 24 pre- and post-procedure bays, and is one of the first to offer precision robotic surgery in an ambulatory setting.
