College of Medicine Peoria Partners with Himachal Pradesh, India to Advance Global Health

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria welcomed officials from Himachal Pradesh, India to sign a memorandum of understanding for a new exchange that will advance global health knowledge. The agreement establishes the Alliance for Workforce Exchange and Shared Optimization in Medical Excellence (AWESOME), which will foster collaboration in medical education, research and clinical innovation, with the goals of improving health outcomes, advancing medical science, and building resilient systems.
