The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer has again accredited the comprehensive cancer services at UI Health as a nationally recognized program that develops full-spectrum, patient-centered standards. Accreditation required meeting 38 quality-care standards across nine disciplines: community outreach, data collection, facilities and equipment, governance, institutional commitment, patient care, personnel, research and quality improvement.

As an accredited facility, UI Health will contribute data to a nationwide oncology-outcomes database, the largest clinical disease registry in the world, which is used to track, analyze and explore trends in cancer care.
